Repositories and Marketplaces Working Group

Working group area for registered members only (log-in required)

Marketplaces provide manufacturers a one-stop shop, a single access point to materials modelling resources and repositories in Europe. The underpinning scope of the working group is to promote and coordinate with all Marketplace and repositories activities in Europe as well as stimulating the establishment of an EMMC Marketplace hub as a common access point for existing databases with federated resources. Thus, the EMMC provides a neutral gateway to third-party Marketplaces and databases and an all-encompassing information platform as knowledge base and online collaboration environment.

Objectives

  1. Advance and promote integration of interoperable materials models and data repositories encompassing the complete field including all models and application and industrial fields as well as Marketplace platforms in Europe
  2. Stimulate participation in the catalogue of the existing databases and promote interoperability between repositories (both commercial and free)
  3. Identifying and address technical and societal concerns regarding sharing, proper provision for IP and privacy issues
